Orthopaedics and Traumatology

Orthopaedics and Traumatology is the branch of science dealing with the research, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of all tissues that make up the system that we can define as “Movement System”.

These diseases may be congenital or acquired. Orthopaedics deals partly with diseases that start without trauma or years after trauma, and Traumatology deals partly with diseases such as fractures or ligament damage that develop after trauma.

The Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of our Aile Hastanesi provides services in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as Sports Injuries, Knee Diseases, Hip Diseases, Shoulder Diseases, Elbow Diseases, Foot Diseases, Hand Diseases, Spine Diseases, Paediatric Orthopaedics, which are the main sub-fields of orthopaedics.

Especially with our staff specialised in Joint and Cartilage Diseases, the most up-to-date treatment methods are applied in Closed or Open Surgical treatments of Cartilage Injuries, Meniscus Repair, Partial or Whole Prosthesis Surgeries. In addition, Regenerative Treatment methods such as Stem Cell, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Synthetic Meniscus and Cartilage Tissue Transplantation are also used in our hospital.

Our hospital is equipped with the highest level of technological infrastructure in order to apply all these treatment methods.

The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology works in solidarity and co-operation with departments such as Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Neurology and Neurosurgery in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases, planning and implementing the most appropriate treatment for patients at a scientific level. Our patients are informed in detail about their treatment plans.
